Ruthless Records. After the success of their first single, Eazy-E's "
Boyz-n-the-Hood", music manager
Jerry Heller
sees potential in the group, negotiates with them and is hired by
Eazy-E to be their manager. Following a show, the group is picked up by
Priority Records, which gives them the resources they need to make their first album,
Straight Outta Compton. At this point, only Eazy-E has received a contract from Heller and the label, while the others still wait for theirs...
