FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. -- Two of the four teenagers accused of shooting and killing an Ingles grocery store security guard appeared before a judge Wednesday morning.

Sharod Johnson, 18, of Cumming, and Tyrice Adside, 18, of Cumming, appeared before a judge and were both denied bond.

Channel 2 Action News reporter Richard Elliot was at the courthouse and said a third teenager who was arrested, Nakitta Holmes, 19, was still being questioned by detectives. Officials said the accused gunman could face an additional charge.

A total of four teenagers have been charged with murder and armed robbery in the Ingles grocery store incident. A 16-year-old juvenile has also been charged.

The teens are accused of killing security guard David Casto, 37, during the grocery store robbery on Sunday.

Forsyth County Sheriff Ted Paxton said Johnson was an Ingles employee and the inside man on the job. He said he believed Holmes was the gunman who killed Casto with the guard's own pistol inside a store freezer. Paxton told Elliot that he believed Holmes, Adside and the juvenile tied up Johnson and stuffed him in the freezer to hide his involvement in the crime. Paxton said he's not sure Johnson knew about the killing until he actually saw the body.

Officials said Tuesday they believed the four teenagers were also responsible for robberies at a Gwinnett County Waffle House and a Cumming Chevron station in the weeks leading up to the Ingles robbery and shooting.

"It's a heavy burden on our hearts that we weren't able to catch them before it got to that," said Paxton.

Paxton said he was worried about the robbing crew a week ago and was working to catch them.

An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection to the Chevron station robbery.

Police arrested Darren Slayton, 18, outside his Forsyth County home Tuesday evening.

Slayton is charged with two counts of armed robbery in connection with a robbery at a Chevron station in Cumming on Aug. 26. He is not charged in connection with the armed robbery at Ingles.

Slayton was being held at the Forsyth County Detention Center.
