When the Bough Breaks

A young married couple, John and Laura Taylor (Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall) desperately wanted to have a baby, but were unable to conceive. After attempting all other options, the couple hired a beautiful young woman named Anna (Jaz Sinclair) who agreed to become a surrogate mother for the Taylors. Everything seemed fine until Anna started to develop a fixation with John as the pregnancy moved further along. Anna's growing obsession interferes with what was a plan by her and her boyfriend, Mike, to scam the couple by demanding money. When Mike pushes Anna to demand money, she kills him. The family found themselves toying with Anna whose psychotic and dangerous fixation with the soon-to-be father also moved along to become a deadly obsession. They then attempted to fight their way against Anna's psychopathic game to regain thorough control of their life.

Hidden Figures

The film recounts the story of three black women who worked in professional positions at NASA and helped the United States advance during the Space Race. Mathematician Katherine Goble Johnson and her two colleagues, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, worked in the segregated West Area Computers division of Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia.[5] Using the group's calculations, NASA supported John Glenn in becoming the first American astronaut to make a complete orbit of Earth.

The Accountant

Christian "Chris" Wolff (Ben Affleck), a mental calculator, works as a forensic accountant, tracking insider financial deceptions for numerous criminal enterprises brokered to him by a voice on his phone that originates from a restricted number. As a child, Christian had been diagnosed with a high-functioning form of autism and offered an opportunity to live at Harbor Neuroscience Institute in New Hampshire. Although Christian had bonded with Justine (Alison Wright), the mute daughter of the institute's director, his father declined, believing that Christian should overcome the hardships inherent in his condition rather than expect the world to be accommodating. The pressure of raising a special-needs child later drove Christian's mother to leave him and his neurotypical younger brother, Braxton, with their father, a decorated Special Forces PSYOP Officer, who arranged for them to receive extensive military combat training around the world such as martial arts and sharpshooting. Christian now uses those skills to protect himself in his dangerous life as an auditor of criminal enterprises, a job for which he accepts payment in various non-cash forms such as rare comics, gold bricks, and paintings by famous artists...more>>

In 1950s Pittsburgh, Troy Maxson (Denzel Washington) lives with his wife Rose (Viola Davis) and their son Cory (Jovan Adepo), and works as a waste collector alongside his best friend, Jim Bono (Stephen McKinley Henderson). Troy's older brother, Gabe Maxson (Mykelti Williamson), sustained a head injury in World War II that left him mentally impaired, for which he received a $3000 government payout that Troy used to purchase a home for his family. Gabe has since moved out, but still lives in the neighborhood, where he is often tormented by the local children.
In his adolescence, Troy left home and became a robber to sustain himself. After killing a man during a robbery led him to prison, he met Bono and revealed himself to be a talented baseball player. He then played in the professional Negro Leagues, but never made it to Major League Baseball. Although it is likely that he was rejected due to his advanced age, Troy firmly believes he was passed over due to the color of his skin. Having survived a near-fatal bout of pneumonia in his youth, Troy claims to have done so by defeating the Grim Reaper in a fistfight, upon which the Reaper vowed to return for a rematch...more>>

Less than a mile away is a not-so-secret CIA outpost called "The Annex", which is protected by a team of Private Military Contractors Global Response Staff made up of former military special operations personnel. New to the detail is Jack "Da" Silva (Krasinski), who arrives in Benghazi and is picked up by Tyrone S. "Rone" Woods (Dale), a member of the team and a personal friend of Silva. Arriving at the Annex, Da Silva is introduced to the rest of the team and the chief (Costabile), who constantly gives the team strict reminders to never engage the citizens to avoid conflict with local militants in the area. ..more>>
